Fluidra (multinational group operating in the pool and wellness industry) has announced the recent acquisition of Fabtronics, a manufacturer of household appliances and electronic circuits based in Australia. Fabtronics was founded in 2003 by Rod Briggs and Frank Harris with the aim of providing complete, efficient and cost-effective electronic manufacturing solutions, and ensuring a local R&D support for the Australian businesses. Fluidra constantly invests in product development and innovation and the acquisition of Fabtronics will allow the company to fully integrate the R&D resources with the rest of its activities. Fabtronics is located in Melbourne about 10 minutes from the Fluidra production site in Keysborough. “The acquisition further strengthens Fluidra’s commitment in APAC and in the swimming pool market in South Africa and Australia, and it will help accelerate innovation to meet the needs of the local market,” commented Stephen Matysiak, Fluidra Australia MD.
