Ariston Thermo Group has announced its Corporate Social Responsibility activities, implemented all over the world to face the Covid-19 emergency. In Europe, especially in the most affected countries such as Italy, Ariston Thermo has donated about 200,000 high protection masks to various structures located throughout the territory (including the Humanitas Hospital in Milan and the hospital structures of the Marche Region) and to all employees and the technical assistance centers, to whom the Group has delivered the Prevention Kit. As regards to the initiatives in support of the healthcare sector, Ariston Thermo contributed as a partner to the donation of medical equipment: the donation was promoted by the Carifac Foundation at Fabriano, in partnership with the president of the Aristide Merloni Foundation, Francesco Merloni. Worldwide, support has been given to the the local institutions in some countries to improve the situation of the hospitals through financial donations; in other countries the Group has donated some Ariston products. For example, in China the Group donated some electric water heaters to the rescue teams in Wuhan, while in Vietnam it donated products to the Government so that the buildings reserved for the quarantine could have hot water. In Tunisia Ariston Thermo participated in a fundraising aimed at strengthening the hospital structures as well as providing food to the families in need. New Group interventions in other countries are being defined and will be implemented in the coming weeks. “In light of the objective difficulties that we are all facing at the moment, Ariston Thermo is trying to give support to the local realities in which it operates – said Paolo Merloni, Executive President of Ariston Thermo -. We are a global Group but with strong local roots and this is why we are committed to pursuing the principles that have marked our 90 years of history and which continue to be our guide today: according to the thought of my grandfather, Aristide Merloni, in fact, in every industrial initiative the economic success has no value without commitment towards the social progress ”.
