Besides, the digitalization leads to new business models – also specifically those that are not just digital but also sustainable. BSH is investing, among other things, BlueMovement, the rental scheme for home appliances. The idea behind BlueMovement is closely connected to the circular economy. Consumers can use the home appliances via a monthly rental payment. This sharing economy model is increasingly in line with new needs on the part of consumers who are focusing more and more on values such as sustainability and flexibility. By renting out new and reconditioned appliances, and recycling them at the end of their service life, BlueMovement is contributing to long-term conservation of resources and a growing sustainability offering at BSH. In Germany, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and fridges from the Bosch brand can currently be rented.
