GfK: slight decline in the Italian Tech market

As highlighted by GfK, after the sales boom recorded during the pandemic, the Technical Consumer Goods market is facing a period full of challenges. On the one hand, the ongoing disruptions of the supply chain are leading to increased costs and limited product availability. On the other hand, the macroeconomic dynamics are causing a drastic increase in the cost of living for the consumers. This also led to a slight decline in the Tech market in Italy, which marks -0.4% from January to August 2022 compared to the same period of 2021, with a total turnover of 10.4 billion euros.
