Baxi is ready to start – in line with the strategies of the BDR Thermea Group to which it belongs – the production of heat pumps in its plant in Bassano del Grappa (Italy) to meet the fast-growing consumer demand for sustainable and energy-efficient heating solutions. Rising gas prices and concerns about energy security are accelerating the demand for diversifying sustainable and energy-efficient heating solutions, with reference specially to heat pumps and hybrid solutions. The Group is planning to start production not only in Italy but also in the Netherlands; furthermore, BDR Thermea is scaling up production capacity for heat pumps and system components in other Group companies in France, Spain and Turkey. BDR Thermea Group aims to increase its annual heat pump production to 800.000 in the coming years. “The new production that will be implemented from next year – Alberto Favero, Managing Director of Baxi SpA, says – represents an added value for our company: we are already operating in the field of energy transition with hybrid systems that combine two different heat sources. Today this technology represents the best solution to decarbonise heating systems”. These new investments will allow Baxi to guarantee an even more articulated offer to its customers: heat pumps have already been included for several years in the hybrid systems portfolio proposed by Baxi. The company also continues pursuing with determination the hydrogen boiler project, towards zero-emission decarbonization.
