With the electronic controls for VTR5 and VTR6 hobs, Okida wisely matches advanced performances and environment protection.

Performances, energy efficiency, sustainability and safety. This is granted by the electronic controls with capacitive touch interface manufactured by Okida for radiant hobs. Their task? Permitting to adjust the power of radiant zones and to control other functions such as highlighting the lit-up zones or the residual heat, or more advanced functions such as the Child Lock to avoid unwanted ignitions.
Boosting the versatility concept, there are some models with Bluetooth systems that let the hob dialogue with the suction hood, enabling the activation of the latter and the suction regulation according to the number of burners switched on and the power set on them. The power regulation of the various radiant elements occurs through capacitive tests that operate some Led displays that will indicate the chosen level, from 1 to 9. The distinguishing sign of touch keys is the very high responsivity, roughly 200 milliseconds.

VTR5 version

A safe and sustainable system
Besides, when cooking is the issue, the user’s safety is fundamental. From this point of view, pressing the ON/OFF button for about 0.5 seconds, we activate a safety system that switches off all cooking zones and the relative display.
If cooking zones are still hot, the display remains ON and the “H” symbol appears, to indicate the residual heat of the zone at stake and to warn the user he must be careful. Moreover, if the cooking level established is not modified during the operation, the corresponding cooking zone automatically switches off owing to safety reasons, after a certain lapse of time established according to the selected cooking level.
Within the family, the VTR5 version highlights other interesting functions. To prevent accidental ignitions of the hob – for instance by children –, and, consequently, potentially dangerous situations, the lock of all radiant zones is available. To unlock the hob, it is necessary to operate on more predefined keys simultaneously. The lock is highlighted on each display by the letter L (Locked).

However, that is not all! Still in the case of the VTR5 version, it is possible to establish the relative activation times for each cooking zone, and then to foresee its switching off until 99 minutes after the cooking start.
Moreover, the “booster” function is available and it allows heating faster a determinate cooking zone, as well as a minute minder.
Generally, Okida controls comply with the most recent energy standards, with a consumption of just 0.5W when the hob is OFF and they are made to operate with maximum temperatures of 105°C.
