Even in the world of cleaning, the binomial of electronics and mechanics favors the creation of increasingly advanced and high-performance solutions, as demonstrated by the new battery-powered electric nozzle from New Ermes Europe (patented), available in two versions: NEPB19-R (basic model) and NEPB19-R-SAN (suitable for steam/shampoo cleaning).

Advanced functions, supported by electronics
The company designed the electric nozzle for comfortable and practical use thanks also to functions made possible by the integration between electronics and mechanics. The product, equipped with interchangeable rollers to clean different surfaces, has an electronic board. It allows user, via the multifunctional button, to select 4 different speeds (16V – 100W DC motor), signaled by LED indicators.
Besides, the Memory Module function maintains the last selected rotation speed at each start. By pushing the multifunctional button for two seconds, user can easily activate the Start/Stop function.
The Floor Pressure Control (FPC) system is instead activated by the top adjustable air inlet with filter mesh, which optimizes the suction on different carpet’s piles/densities/thicknesses, granting the constant contact between rollers and surfaces.
Finally, thanks to the Electronic Safety Board, the product has an anti-clogging system via electronic control with quick restart. “Further functions – New Ermes Europe adds – are optional. The electric nozzle can always run in “Full Speed” mode (therefore without speed settings). Or, upon request, in “iBrush” mode with an automatic speed setting based on the different surfaces”.
| LARGE AUTONOMY WITHOUT SACRIFICING SUSTAINABILITY The operating time of the electric nozzle ranges from 45 minutes to more than 2 hours, depending on the activity carried out, the type of surface and the size of the area to be cleaned. The motor is powered by an interchangeable and rechargeable 18V 3Ah PLUS LI-ION battery, produced by Einhell and equipped with a charge indicator. A transparent lid covers the battery, which is easily removable as it is fixed onto the main body of the nozzle by magnets, ensuring a user-friendly opening/closing operation. Manageable and functional design
In designing the product, the company paid extensive attention to components that guarantee both functionality of use and manageability in order to make cleaning more practical and less tiring. The high-power LED front light, for example, ensures high visibility to easily identify even the smallest debris.
Furthermore, the electric nozzle has a removable front cover, fixed by magnets. It facilitates the roller changing/cleaning operations and the replacement of the HTD (High Torque Drive) toothed drive belt. Besides, the over-molded roller gear connection grants the anti-shock roller system.
As regards to manageability, the electric nozzle has large soft rear wheels, with anti-clogging POM bearings, and small front wheels. They are also soft to move delicately on the surfaces. To avoid any damage, the product has a front bumper.
Focus on materials
The structure of the main body of the nozzle is made of ABS, as is the main body of the rollers. These are available with fluffy short textile (specific for hard floors) and with helix bristled PP filament (mainly for carpets). Both of these solutions are included as standard equipment.
Besides, other optional versions are possible: with helix bristled PA filament (mainly for use on carpet), with helix bristled natural hairs (also in this case mainly for use on carpet), with brushes and squeegees (for multipurpose use) and with long fringe microfibre/nylon textile (for wet use).
