Elba Italy, a manufacturer of cooking appliances, celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1950 in Borso del Grappa (province of Treviso). Over the years, it has established itself in over 60 international markets thanks to a combination of craftsmanship, technological innovation and design. Besides, exports represent a fundamental pillar of the business, with the Middle East among the main reference markets and an annual turnover of around 90 million euros.

“We are proud to celebrate our first 75 years of business – said Gabriele Garella, CEO of Elba Italy –. This anniversary is a great opportunity for us to celebrate our history and, at the same time, look to the future with ambition. Quality, innovation and the ability to respond to the different needs of those who love cooking are the values that have guided us from the beginning and will remain our strengths. We continue to invest to consolidate our presence in European and international markets, aiming for annual growth of 10%. We want to take the excellence of Made in Italy even further, strengthening our position as a reference brand for those looking for reliable, high-performance appliances with a distinctive design”.

Elba Italy reached the milestone of 75 years

From a local company to an international reality

The history of Elba Italy reveals its path of continuous evolution. It started out as a small company in the heart of the Veneto region and then it grew through periods of great changes without losing its identity.

Founded by Elio Baggio, the company began its activity as a manufacturer of wood and coal stoves for cooking and heating. It also specialized in the enameling of components for the main manufacturers in Northern Italy. At the end of the 50s, with the economic boom and the increase in demand for household appliances, Elba dedicated itself to the production of freestanding cookers, gaining an important role in the national market.

Afterwards, in the 70s, the company began to expand internationally, entering the British, German and French markets. The 1980s, on the other hand, saw the introduction of the first stainless steel cookers and the consolidation of the brand globally. 2021 is a strategic year: the company completes its integration into Haier Europe. This has allowed Elba Italy to accelerate technological innovation and expand its position in the sector.

Entirely Made in Italy production process

Today, Elba Italy’s production site in Veneto covers an area of over 54,000 square meters. It employs more than 400 people, maintaining a strong local connection and a production process entirely Made in Italy. Besides, thanks to 47 different production platforms and a supply chain involving hundreds of certified suppliers, the company guarantees the production of over 300,000 appliances per year.

“Elba Italy – the company says – is synonymous with Italian design, craftsmanship, reliability and innovation, all elements that have always defined the brand’s philosophy. Each product is designed to be a true expert in the kitchen, enhancing every way of experiencing this convivial space, whatever the culinary culture, and responding to the needs of those looking for professional, versatile and intuitive solutions. The mission is to make technology a daily ally, without ever giving up the personal and artisan touch that characterizes true Made in Italy”.
