Components and technologies “hidden” in Faber hoods

Brushless motors, advanced filtration systems, and new internal designs engineered to optimize extraction, acoustic comfort, and sustainability. Faber’s latest-generation hoods integrate all these technologies. They aren’t visible from the outside, but they play an active role in creating a comfortable kitchen environment.

The brushless motor

Traditional brushed motors operate through physical contact between components, generating friction, wear, and noise. On the other hand, the brushless motor – installed on various models of Faber hoods and cooktop extractors – completely eliminates this mechanical contact.

No brushes, no friction: just a rotating magnetic field that precisely controls the extraction speed. The result is a system that consumes less energy, lasts longer, and maintains extremely stable performance even at maximum speeds, ensuring high energy efficiency, low energy consumption, and greater product longevity.

The brushless motor is integrated, for example, into the Heaven Light PRO ceiling-mounted hood. The extraction system reaches 700 m³/h in Boost mode, while maintaining low energy consumption. Furthermore, the electronic motor control allows for progressive and more precise variations in the extraction power, improving both efficiency and acoustic comfort.

Advanced filtration system

Among the most advanced technologies developed by Faber is the High Filtering Hood (HFH). Unlike traditional systems, HFH uses a cylindrical filter with a larger filtering surface, designed to increase contact between air and activated carbon, thereby improving odor capture effectiveness. Inside, two ultra-filtering panels with different porosities and concentrations of activated carbon work in tandem: the first intercepts larger particles, while the second traps the finer ones.

The result is odor elimination of up to 95%, with a noticeable improvement in indoor air quality. Besides, the cylindrical structure helps reduce noise levels by approximately 3 dB(A) compared to traditional charcoal filters, also improving the acoustic comfort in the kitchen.

Among Faber’s products, the Stilo Comfort model can have the HFH system as optional. The hood also features Intensive Speed function, low-consumption LED lighting system, and dishwasher-safe grease filters.

Fluid dynamics

It is essential that the hood operates as quietly as possible, even at maximum performance. This is the basis for Sound PRO, the technology developed by Faber to optimize internal fluid dynamics and improve quietness and sound quality.

Thanks to a special diffuser designed to significantly reduce turbulence and vortices in the internal airflow, Sound PRO is able to lower the hood’s noise level by up to 6 dB at maximum power, while also optimizing the sound produced and reducing the disturbance caused by high frequencies.

Sound PRO technology is featured on many Faber models, including Beat XL Wall. Besides, this hood presents Boost function, LED Light Dimmer system to adjust light intensity, and K-LINK technology that allows the hood to communicate with the induction cooktop.
