The evolution of the hob has led this appliance to become increasingly essential in design. Induction technology has made it possible to create smooth and clean surfaces: the controls disappear when not in use. And, in the case of the extractor hobs, the flap closes to obtain a continuous and uniform space. But that’s not all. The latest design trends also emphasize color, which, abandoning the classic black, matches the color of contemporary style kitchens. One example is Galvamet’s PERFECTO Essence Edition, which includes hobs with four different finishes. The line won the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025.
Designed with customization in mind
Galvamet focuses on color to characterize the PERFECTO Essence Edition line of induction hobs with integrated hood. Designed with customization in mind, these products are available in four different finishes. PERFECTO Champagne Gold adds a golden touch to the kitchen thanks to its warm hue. PERFECTO Anodic Brown has a color nuance inspired by natural earths. On the other hand, PERFECTO Smoked Silver recalls the brightness of silver. Finally, PERFECTO Pearl Grey is distinguished by a delicate gray that evokes the elegance of pearls.
The four finishes open up new possibilities for consumers to find the solution that best fits their kitchen. The induction hob breaks away from the standard of the product proposed in black color. It becomes an element of continuity with the furniture.
The hobs, measuring 80×52 cm, have 4 cooking zones, 9 power levels + Booster, 2 bridge zones and white light slider controls. The suction system can also be adjusted to 9 power levels + Booster. It also has a maximum airflow of 700 m3/h, a sound power level of 62 dB(A) at the highest speed and is in energy class A++. As for installation, it is possible to install the induction hob non-flush or flush uninterrupted on the top. With an optional filtering kit, the hood can be transformed from duct out to recycling.
Color and technology in the induction hob
The innovative design is combined with a series of technological functions that ensure precision in cooking and extraction. Among the available options, the hob has: pause and recall, keep warm function, fast automatic heating and chef function that allows to set different power levels in the cooking zones. In addition, the hob has residual heat indicator, pots detector, overheating protection, timer, child lock and an operating time limitator.
The suction system
As for the suction system, with the automatic operation the hood switch on at the most suitable speed, adapting the suction capacity to the maximum power level used in the cooking zones. When these are switched off, the hood adapts its suction speed, progressively decreasing it, eliminating residual odors and vapors. The adjustable and delayed self-switching off allows user to programme delayed cooker hood shutdown, so that the right level of air purity in the kitchen is restored as quickly as possible.
Other strong points of the suction system are the warning that indicates when the grease filter needs cleaning, and the luminous warning that shows when the Long Life ceramic anti-odor filter needs regeneration. The glass flap is easy to remove to facilitate internal cleaning and, thanks to a sensor, automatically switches off suction when it is closed. The product is also equipped with a valve for draining residual water and a patented waterproof motor that prevents any breakage even in case of contact with water.
