The NPD Display Search agency reveals that, according to the estimates processed by the main world producers of TV sets, at the end of the current year about 710 million LCD sets will be sold in the world, with a decrease by 5.8% compared to 2012. In that year, in fact, sales had reached 754 million pieces. Cause of this downturn is on one hand the general crisis that has struck the economies of lots of countries, on the other hand the progress of new and more sophisticated techniques on the matter.
