The surveys by WSTS (World Semiconductors Trade Statistics) confirm also for the first 2013 semester the recovery signs that had already appeared in the first four months. At the end of June the semester growth in the world had been by 1.5% versus the first semester of the previous year. Different was, as always, the trend in the various areas.Chinaobviously ranks first, with the 13% rise, followed by the whole Asia Pacific area with 6%.Americaslived the 4.5% growth, whileEuropebenefitted from a modest rise, by just 0.8%. The only negative note is Japan, with the – 19% downturn.
