A press release by the agency PR Newswire indicates a growth by a good 23% at year-end for smartphones. The positive trend is expected to go on in the next years too, with growth rates ranging from 15% to 20% yearly until 2018. In that ambit, a relevant percentage will be scored by smartphones, relatively new product but steeply rising. In 2014, the sales of this type of product will surpass 2 million pieces on a world scale but, in the lapse of five years, they might even decuple.
