In 2014, the ranking of European Countries in the consumption of semiconductors was revolutionized. According to the surveys carried out by DMASS association (Distributors and Manufacturer’s Association of Semiconductor Specialists) consumption areas witnessed in fact the occurrence of enormous changes. In what way and to what extent? Even if Germany maintains the traditional primacy with 32% of the European consumption, behind it comes the whole of East Europe Countries – scarcely relevant until now – with the overall 13%. Third rank then Scandinavian Countries (which in the past were fifth in the list) with 11%, followed by Italy with 10% and by the area formed by Great Britain and Ireland, which achieves 9%. France, traditionally second in the ranking, is now sixth with 8% only.HA03_WSGO_SEMICOND
