An array of fifty-two awards for five categories: this the list of Philips prizes at the iF Design Award 2015, one of the most authoritative and renowned design awards in the world. Philips design was awarded by the jury for its excellence in all five categories of iF Design Award: Product, Communication, Packaging, Interior Architecture and Professional Concept. Philips was also awarded with two iF Gold Awards, in the Product Design and Professional Concept Design categories. The first was given to Philips VisaCare, an appliance for the body care based on the micro dermabrasion technology that favours a firmer, softer and young-looking skin: a professional appliance that we can anyway use comfortably at home. The other prize was instead given to the concept Intellivue Google Glass, where Philips focuses instead on the medical sector. The prototype couples the revolutionary technology of Google Glasses with the IntelliVue monitoring solutions by Philips. This prototype shows how it is possible to obtain in real time a constant flow of patients’ vital data on Google Glasses, enabling physicians to have access quickly to critical clinic information whenever necessary.
