The Chinese company Smic is creating a new international research centre for the production of electronic circuits in China. With it, collaborate the Nano electronic Centre Imec in Lovanio, in Belgium, the United States producer of semiconductors Qualcomm and the Chinese telecommunication company Huawei. The new centre intends to develop technologies for the local production of 16/14 mm integrated circuits.
