Confindustria Ceced Italia has diffused the 2015-data for the Conditioning and Heat pump sector, and the state of the art outlined by these data neatly differs from the one of previous years, which had registered a serious demand shrinkage. The strong seasonality of the domestic conditioner market (Climate) and the high persistent summer temperatures notably boosted the demand for conditioners in 2015: sell-in +10%, sell-out +84% in volumes. The results by product family highlight the boom of Portable devices, +250%, and the strong growth of Split systems, +60%, as well.
Walter Rebosio, Group Manager Conditioning and Heat Pumps, Confindustria Ceced Italia, commented: “For a couple of years we have been wondering what could contrast the market slowdown, what corrective actions we could adopt and how to deal with the scenario of generalized economic stagnation. The answer, once more, came from the atmospheric climate, confirming the persistent dependence of our sector on that factor. The positive data under all respects decrease the stress on manufacturers and revitalize a strategic bent for research, to be faced with optimism, of new technologies and structural development, in particular in the commitment to reduce the dependence on seasonality. The good seasons and the good health of the field share in treating these themes with more commitment, to place the domestic conditioning plant in a complete environmental and energy context”.
