Whirlpool_Interactive_Kitchen_of_the_FutureWhirlpool presents the next level of its household appliances at EuroCucina. Its Interactive Kitchen of the Future reveals how the appliances will become even more connected, innovative, intuitive and helpful in the near future. Whirlpool’s Interactive Kitchen of the Future concept simulates a day in the life in a smart kitchen, exploring how the kitchen can work as a cooking and informational hub. It shows how the smart technology will interact with the world of connected smart devices – and the wider eco-system of connected appliances in the Internet of Things – to help a family cook, clean and care. At the heart of the Interactive Kitchen of the Future is an interactive splashback and a connected cooktop, which work together to link the consumer to their social networks, favourite websites and recipes. As well as enabling meal planning without the need for cookbooks or other digital devices, the interactive splashback features a personalised touch screen that facilitates live chats – perhaps to swap recipes with friends or family – and offers wine recommendations for the selected meal. Meanwhile, the future kitchen hob lists the ingredients of each dish and targets the right amount of power to wherever consumer places each saucepan, with smart sensors that help automatically cook the food to perfection. Elsewhere in the kitchen are innovative concepts such as the sink washer, which automatically detects when items are placed in the sink and seals itself to run a wash cycle once the consumer leaves the room.
In addition, Whirlpool showcases at EuroCucina other innovative new products, including the SmartCook induction hob, the SupremeClean dishwasher and the Supreme built-in cooling range. “This year at Eurocucina Whirlpool showcases its four pan-European brands together in a single, inspiring space. A unique opportunity to discover the strength of the winning, leading-edge technology and design of Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Hotpoint and Indesit – said Esther Berrozpe Galindo, President of Whirlpool EMEA and Executive Vice President of Whirlpool Corporation -. Each of these brands has a strong, distinct identity, targeting different consumers and serving their specific needs, thanks to our continued focus on consumer-driven innovation”.
