The Ri-Generation project was born in the perspective of the circular economy and is aimed at the regeneration of household appliances. The objective is twofold: to safeguard the environment and offer people in difficult situations an opportunity to work in the field of appliance repair. The project, which sees Astelav (distributor of spare parts for home appliances since 1963) among the protagonists, is continuing successfully and today presents two news: the inauguration of
Ri-Generation LAB and Ri-Generation SHOP.
With regard to Ri-Generation LAB, the CNOS-FAP Association, the Salesian Youth Ministry, the Church of Saints Peter and Paul Apostles in Turin, in collaboration with Astelav, will start a new educational and training format aimed at minors and adolescents in situations of disadvantage and with difficulty in entering the world of work. The project consists in a short-term training course to involve the young people who are “not yet ready” for a work experience and with difficulty to re-insert themselves positively into the world of work. The course “Repair and Regeneration of Appliances” will be held for the theoretical part at CNOS-FAP Valdocco, and for the practical part in the Ri-generation LAB created by Astelav, which will make available, as teachers team, its specialized staff.
With regard to Ri-generation SHOP, one year after the inauguration of the first Ri-Generation store in Turin Porta Palazzo, Astelav opens a second store in Turin San Salvario. The Ri-Generation appliances can thus be purchased in the two stores and on the www.ri-generation.com website.
