Elica has been rewarded in two important competitions: the European Product Design Award and the International Design Award. Some of its flagship products, the NikolaTesla Switch hob, the Haiku hoods and the Lullaby ceiling hood, have received these awards, consecrating themselves among the most interesting design innovations at international level. These three products have been received the Gold Prize of the European Product Design Award for their design with a functional originality that improves the everyday use experience, while the creativity and the unconventional approach have been the assets thanks to which these appliances triumphed at the International Design Award in the Home Interior Products_Kitchen Appliances category. Specifically, Lullaby won the “Product Design of the Year” award and, together with NikolaTesla Switch, the “Gold Winner” award, while the title of Bronze Winner was recognized to Haiku. “We are extremely proud – said the designer Fabrizio CrisĂ – that our products have been awarded with the EPDA and the IDA and that Lullaby has been named product of the year. A design product is the result of the efforts that are made to follow the instinct, to achieve the innovative idea behind the project. Innovating and reinventing represents for us a leap in the dark, characterized by uncertainties that only disappear when the product meets the favor of the people for whom it was designed. Having obtained these design awards, awarded by international juries of experts in the sector, is a further confirmation that we are on the right course and an incentive to reach new goals”.
