It obtained the 13th place in the “Real Leaders Impact Awards 2021” ranking established by Real Leaders (sustainable business and leadership magazine), which included Arcelik in the ranking of the “Top Impact Companies”, that is the 150 companies capable with their work to make a positive difference in the world, with particular attention to the social and environmental responsibility issues. “We are honored to receive this award and to be recognized in the world for our mission which is aimed at creating a positive impact on the environment, through the production of technologies capable of generating value and improving people’s future – commented Hakan Bulgurlu, CEO of Arçelik – Prior to this milestone, we were named ‘industry leader’ in the Durable Goods category for domestic use, for the second consecutive year, in the 2020 Dow Jones Sustainability Index and, with our carbon credits, we have become zero impact in global production in 2019 and 2020, in compliance with PAS 2060. These are important results that demonstrate how much we strive to ensure that the sustainability is not only a targeted business model but becomes a shared lifestyle, focused on the future, on the planet and on people’s needs. We renew our commitment to build a more responsible future, in line with the objectives of the UN’s Agenda 2030 for a sustainable development”. Arçelik is not only the first and only Turkish company to be included in the ranking, but it has also been named as The most sustainable Home Appliances & Houseware Company in the world.
