Technical consumer goods in Italy: sales increased by 9.2% in 2021


According to GfK, the technical consumer goods market in Italy closed 2021 positively. Sales grew by +9.2% and the overall market value reached 17.5 billion euros. In particular, Consumer electronics (+35.9%), Major domestic appliances (+9.7%) and Telecommunications (+6.6%) led the growth. Small domestic appliances increases by +5.5%, while the Information Technology/Office segment decreases (-0.8%) but it should be remembered that last year it had recorded record sales. Finally, the performance of Home Comfort (+15.3%) and Photo (+14.6%) were also positive, but they did not return to 2019 turnover.
