TMEC Wi-Fi is a mechatronic thermostat which connects to the Wi-Fi network and allows the remote control of one or more water heaters through MyThermowatt, the APP for mobile phones and tablets. The system, not only allows to monitor and to adjust the temperature, but it also provides several new functionalities including, the weekly programming, the “Eco” and the “Holiday” modes. Furthermore, the mechatronic thermostat ensures both the typical safety performances of Thermowatt’s patented mechanical solution “PLUS System” and also the higher precision in temperature detection thanks to electronic sensors.
By adopting TMEC Wi-Fi, producers of water heaters, boilers and solar energy systems can turn their products into Smart and connected with a short time-to-market, saving on the significant investments which would otherwise be required for an in-house electronic development. Furthermore, producers can have a tailor-made product, as Thermowatt will customize the TMEC WiFi according to their specifications.
WHAT ARE THE REAL ADVANTAGES FOR END-USERS IN COMPARISON TO A CONVENTIONAL WATER HEATER?
MORE COMFORT
TMEC Wi-Fi allows controlling and managing remotely the water temperature. For instance, it is perfect to prepare a hot bath while on the way home from work, or to switch on the water heater before getting to the vacation house.
MAXIMUM ENERGY SAVING AND MINOR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The correct settings allow an energy consumption saving exceeding 20%.
Conventional water heaters must be kept at a minimum temperature of 60°C to avoid the bacteria proliferation, whereas TMEC Wi-Fi can maintain a lower water temperature under normal use conditions and ensures the anti-legionella sanitization through a periodical anti-bacteria cycle. In other terms: same comfort, no bacterial risk and no waste.
Moreover, the App is provided with several functionalities which allow users to manage their energy consumption at best: the weekly programming, the “Eco” function or simply the possibility to switch off the water heater when out of home and turn it back on when returning.
MORE SAFETY
The TMEC Wi-Fi allows timely intervention in case of failure, sending a notification to the user and providing specific instructions to solve the problem. It will avoid a cold shower when returning home!
