“Synesthetic Swirl” is the new artistic installation created by Whirlpool and the architect Odile Decq for the Fuorisalone 2023 in Milan. It consists of reflective mirrors and shifting shapes that blends physical and virtual spaces, evoking a sense of transformation. The installation radically reimagines the concept behind Whirlpool’s new CleanProtect induction hob, a product featuring an innovative nano-coating. This appliance was considered ideal for inspiring the Synesthetic Swirl as it embodies how advances in technology and material science can change the everyday experience. The product uses a nanotechnology which protects the hob surface from the stains that form over time and allows for effortless cleaning using only water.
