IMA Group is increasing its initiatives to offer new solutions based on Artificial Intelligence for advanced remote and real-time monitoring of the packaging and processing equipment developed by the Group. Martina Stefanon, Business Development Manager at IMA Digital, discussed this topic at the global event LiveWorx 2023, organised by PTC in Boston. During the speech entitled “Industrial machinery: a major paradigm shift in the IIoT business model”, Martina Stefanon talked about the projects and successes achieved in the field of connected machines, and shared IMA’s vision of the future and how Artificial Intelligence is evolving, giving rise to new, easily adoptable and implementable machine learning solutions. Indeed, the Group has been developing machine learning algorithms for some time now, which are immediately applied to the installed base of IMA’s customers in various reference markets, regardless of the customers’ technological level. “The algorithms – the company explains – also take into account the different privacy policies covering the information and data collected from the equipment. The algorithms that are developed then become technological solutions that allow production managers greater control and further increase productivity through IMA Sentinel, the data-driven solution provided by IMA Group, based on the Thingworx PTC platform. Through this new technological step forward, the Group aims to enhance its service offering to achieve even greater efficiency in production issues, with the support of cutting-edge platforms and technological tools. Thanks to the support of PTC, IMA has recently taken action on two fronts: on one hand, creating ready-to-use solutions and algorithms for immediate application by IMA customers, and on the other hand, initiating co-development sessions with customers to jointly create customised algorithms within a dedicated collaborative environment, with the goal of addressing specific needs. This represents another step forward and a new business approach that aligns with the digital journey that IMA embarked on in 2017 with the IMA Digital project”.
