In order to invest in talents to train new managers and successfully face the challenges of the future, Whirlpool EMEA has opened its headquarter to over 30 professionals participating in the EMBA of the MIP Graduate School of Business. The School of Management of the Polytechnic University of Milan has been recognized by the Financial Times as one of the best schools in the world in the programs for executives. The participants in the EMBA, who have between seven and nine years of professional experience and hold managerial roles in various sectors, for one day will come into direct contact with the Whirlpool world through panels and meetings with the top management, living the corporate culture. With this initiative Whirlpool reaffirms its strategy (aimed at enhancing people) and its corporate identity to attract the best resources, in line with the business goals. The 600 people employed at the EMEA headquarter in Pero (Milan), with an average age of 39 years and coming from 28 different countries, show this concrete commitment. “In a market that requires to anticipate the needs of the stakeholders, today, more than ever, the difference is made by the people, who for us represent a fundamental asset able to offer the added value required to face and win the challenges of the global competition – says Gianluca Castelletti, Global Platform Leader, Refrigeration, Air and Water Treatment Whirlpool Corporation -. Each of us must be in the best condition to express and increase the human potential of ‘innovation accelerator’, thus contributing to the development of solutions that can improve the lives of our consumers”.
