In the yearly survey about consumptions, the Spanish Cetelem Observatory has highlighted that the fundamental trend for the sales of household appliances and of consumer electronics is represented by the recourse to cheap purchase forms. On one hand they require discounts on new products, giving the old appliance to the supplier, if still usable; on the other hand they purchase second-hand household appliances or they form small groups of consumers, who directly buy from the producer, fetching a low price. Finally, there is also the rental of appliances. According to Cetelem, these purchase modalities constitute by now 53% of the market in Spain, but it is expected that they will extend in few years to all European Countries.
