Norbert Schmidt has been appointed Vice President Products & Brands of Whirlpool EMEA. He will report to Esther Berrozpe Galindo, President of Whirlpool EMEA and Executive Vice President of Whirlpool Corporation. “I’m excited to begin this new challenge – Norbert Schmidt commented – and I’m looking forward to work with the team in order to further develop the Whirlpool marketing strategy on products and brands, and in order to strengthen and consolidate our leadership and extend the expertise in the Internet of Things. It’s a particularly busy time for our company and I will be focused in confirming the role of Whirlpool as a pioneer in creating products and solutions that deliver real value to our customers and to make them live what we call the moments that matter”. Before this role, Norbert Schmidt was General Manager of the Refrigeration Business Team in North America, a position he held since 2014. In his more than 13 years at Whirlpool, he had managerial experiences in the cooking, refrigeration and washing markets, dealing with product development, merchandising, marketing, operations, supply chain and engineering.
