One hundred years of innovation

The history of home appliances is on display at the Harry Bertoia gallery of Pordenone with the celebration of the first hundred years of life of Zanussi, merged in 1984 in Electrolux. The exhibition, entitled “Elettrodomesticità. Design e innovazione a Nord Est da Zanussi a Electrolux”, focuses on the industrial design of the products produced in this century of history in terms of technological innovation, functionality and aesthetics. The curator, Angelo Bertani, wanted in this way make tangible on the one hand the quality of Zanussi / Electrolux production and other visitors to understand the industrial process, from design to production. For this along with many appliances are visible sketches and plans, sometimes made by famous designers such as Gino Valle, Gastone Zanello, Andries Van Onck, Roberto Pezzetta and Luigi Molinis. The tour is completed dozens of historical images and videos related to corporate life; a particular focus will be on the thousands of workers who have worked for the company contributing to its success, the first passing from the condition of farmers to that of employees in the industry. To exhibition will close on 22 January 2017.
