New rules for exports in the Gulf countries

dsc_2359Accademia Tecniche Nuove hosted, on October 27, the conference “Appliances & Components: Ready for the Middle East?”, Organized in collaboration with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and dedicated to regulations and restrictions governing exports to the six countries the most important of the Middle East. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman, in fact, are destinations of great interest to the players in the home appliance industry, mainly due to recent growth forecasts that register positive sign for each of these states. Presenters Davide Castagna, Senior Key Account Manager Ceced Italy, Gabriella Mazzola, EMEA Regulatory Program Expert UL, Gianluca Cecchinato, EMEA Design for Safety & Regulatory Manager of Whirlpool, and Luca Reina, Code & Safety Engineer Whirlpool, described the regulations governing the export of household appliances and components to the Middle East market, with emphasis on their possible interpretations and changes taking place in the near future.
