Faber is main sponsor of the Reduction of Noise Award (first edition), the contest created by the Italian scientific radio program Moebius (Radio 24) in order to design a silent coffee grinder. Until June 30th, it’s possible to create a project and participate in the contest with a detailed informative sheet explaining how the object works, with which materials it is produced, what is the characteristic that makes the appliance silent. The participants can send videos, drawings, rough prototypes, and any useful material to illustrate the project. The proposals will be evaluated by Faber technicians of the Research and Development department, creators of cooker hoods among the most silent in the world thanks to the Sil-K ACT technology. Faber’s experts will consider creativity and invention but also cost, robustness, maintenance and implementability, features needed to test the effectiveness of the product. The company will support the winner in realizing a well-designed industrial prototype in order to propose it to realities interested in its distribution.
