The Spazio hood by Falmec won the German Design Award 2020 in the Excellent Product Design category. The award, born from an initiative of the German Design Council, recognizes the merit of all those products designed according to three fundamental criteria: quality, originality and functionality. “An honor and a pleasure for Falmec to be able to achieve a new important response in the field of international design”, the company commented. The hood is designed by Francesco Lucchese: the 180 cm island supporting structure is equipped with comfortable smoked glass shelves to store crockery or any other useful object in the kitchen in an orderly manner; besides there is a channel equipped with hooks for the organization of the tools and an effective LED lighting system for the worktop. Spazio is equipped with USB ports, electrical sockets (to recharge electronic devices) and a “tablet holder” to quickly and easily consult any application. The hood also offers the possibility of housing a small indoor garden designed for the cultivation of aromatic plants.
