Siemens has won 8 iF Design Awards for the product design. Among the awarded appliances are the iQ700 zoneLight and iQ700 activeLight hobs that stand out for their innovative use of the light. An additional iF Award was given to inductionAir Plus, an induction hob with integrated hood controlled by sensors. Other awards were given to the iQ700 ceiling hoods, of which the jury appreciated two elegant and minimal models for open space kitchens. Both the appliances can be controlled directly from the hob, with a remote control or via smartphone and tablet thanks to the Home Connect app; it is also possible the connection with smart devices for the voice control. Finally, the jury of the iF Awards awarded the A-Cool line of refrigerators and the iQ800 washing line. “For us, creating means thinking about the future. For this reason, we are very pleased with the success of this year at the iF Award, well aware of the attention that the jury pays to the innovative power of design”, explained Gerhard Nüssler, Head of Global Design at Siemens Home Appliances.
