Polti Cimex Eradicator is effective against bed bugs without insecticides. “Laboratory and field tests – the company explains – certify that the superheated dry saturated steam of Polti Cimex Eradicator eliminates 100% of the eggs and more than 90% of the adult bed bugs already on the first pass. But the effectiveness is not limited to these parasites, because other tests carried out by independent third-party laboratories prove that Polti Cimex Eradicator kills up to 99.999% of viruses, germs, bacteria, fungi and spores”. The key element is the patented dispenser with controlled expansion chamber which superheats the steam up to 180°C: the hot, saturated and dry jet eliminates bed bugs and their eggs through thermal shock. 
Steam is a low environmental impact method because it does not require the use of insecticides and therefore can be used in the presence of people and animals and after the steam has been dispensed it is not necessary to ventilate the rooms for a long time. Furthermore, the steam does not leave the fabrics and surfaces damp, does not cause damage or alter the materials on which it is applied and can be directed to nesting areas that are difficult to treat, guaranteeing an accurate disinfestation. There are two models available, both Made in Italy: Polti Cimex Eradicator and Polti Cimex Eradicator Plus, steam disinfection devices compliant with the AFNOR NF T72-110 standard. Both can be used together with the HPMed detergent, eliminating the bad smells generated by these insects and also dissolving the unpleasant sticky substance they release.
