New design solutions, AI and state-of-the-art components make major domestic appliances increasingly efficient. In particular, the washing segment achieves very high energy classes, but also in the refrigeration and cooking sectors new products help reduce waste. In addition, the most efficient products are also connected. This enables consumption monitoring and maximises the functionality.

Drum movement and the oven door that does not have to be opened

LG‘s new collection of high-efficiency appliances includes a washer and a dryer in class A -55% and A+++ -26% respectively. Among the factors that help reduce the environmental impact is the washing machine’s drum movement, which minimises the energy consumption of the Direct Drive motor with AI. The ezDispense function automatically dispenses the right amount of detergent according to the load. And the Microplastic Care cycle reduces the dispersion of microplastics in the water. Besides, the AI DD motor and AI Wash function detect the type of clothes to optimise washing. These products are joined by the combined refrigerator in class A -25% and the LG QuadWash dishwasher (class A -20%). In addition, the LG InstaView oven with AI is in class A++. Thanks to the InstaView technology, it is possible to look inside the appliance without having to open the door. This prevents heat loss.

Washing and drying efficiency

The Samsung BESPOKE AI washing machine reaches class A -55%. The Acqua Save technology continuously circulates water inside the drum via a recirculation pump. The laundry gets wet more easily and the detergent penetrates evenly, increasing washing efficiency. This technology is combined with AI Ecobubble and algorithms that improve the energy efficiency.
Besides, the Bespoke AI Combo washer-dryer has been awarded class A for washing and drying. The latter has been optimised thanks to the Digital Inverter heat pump that dries quickly and at low temperatures. In addition, the design of ducts has improved the internal air circulation, enabling efficient heat reuse.
Another highly efficient appliance is the Series 7 Jet Clean dishwasher. It offers energy savings of up to 10% higher than the requirements for the class A. The product features WaterJet Clean technology, which is characterised by double rotating arm and all-in-one module. The latter generates a flow that allows only 7.9 litres of water to be used in combination with the Eco cycle.

From refrigerator to oven the kitchen is waste-free

Also Candy has recently launched new connected appliances with a focus on efficiency. Among these is the Candy Fresco refrigerator in class A. The Candy Fresco 700 model features Circle Fresh technology. The air flow prevents food from drying out, keeping it fresh for longer. In addition, the Adaptive Humidity Area is a drawer that maintains the ideal humidity level for fruit and vegetables. Besides, the hOn app gives access to the Eco Box, a section dedicated to energy-saving solutions.
Candy Bake, on the other hand, is an oven in energy class A++. Thanks to No Preheat technology, it allows the cooking cycle to start without pre-heating. Finally, the ProWash washing machine achieves class A -40%. It features the ProActive Ecowash function, which maintains the brilliance of the garments, and has the XL Soft Drum with a texture that protects the fibres.
