HA09_NL_MICRONAccording to the Research Agency Digimes Research, Chinese authorities are starting a development programme to make the big eastern nation self-sufficient in the semiconductor field, where today it is the biggest consumer in the world. According to this strategy, we should consider the negotiation that the Chinese Group Tsinghua Unigroup has undertaken for the takeover of the important United States producer of integrated circuits Micron Technology. The new expected productions are likely to make China self-sufficient, at least for integrated circuits, by 40% within 2020 and afterwards able to reach the 70% percentage within 2025.
