White goods stable in Switzerland and growing in Germany

In 2016, the Swiss white goods market was largely stable. According to the FEI category, the year ended with a global drop of – 0.5% over 2015. The most dynamic devices were dryers (+ 7.5%) and built-in ovens (+ 4 , 1%), while the worst performance was for freezers, down 11.8%. On the other hand, negative was 2016 for small household appliances, which overall fell by 9.1%.
According to the first 2016 data released by the ZVEI Association, sales of large white appliances grew in Germany by about 3% compared to 2015, reaching 5.8 billion euros at source prices. Production had a total value of 5.5 billion euros; However, nearly 70% of them, or 3.8 billion euros, were exported, while 2.0 billion euros were equivalent to imports.
